Pallets are basically flat wooden pieces that are used in shipping of food, clothing, chemicals, medicine, and for heavy deliveries. After being used, they are again recycled to use for various purposes. These recycled pallets are now used in making furniture for the house, birdhouses and dog houses. It is very important to properly save these pallets, once they have served their basic purpose and then again use these for making some valuable things. We need to dismantle those pallets first for using them again.
The easiest way to dismantle the wooden pallet is to remove the nails from the wood and we can separate the pallet board. This looks to very simple but its little technical, we need a technique to do it faster and in a safe way. To deconstruct the pallets, we need a crow bar and a hammer. We need to put on safety glasses; boots and gloves protect ourselves from any minor injury.
Pallets are basically built for strength as they are used in shipping industry. So it is not so easy to dismantle and sometimes even can be little difficult. The nails that join the pallet boards are spiral one and are compressed but by using a technique we can dismantle the pallet. Pallets can even be cut to separate apart but it is better to deconstruct so that they can be used for other purposes as well.
The slats and stringers and they vary in size from pallet to pallet depending upon the use of pallet. The old pallets can easily be deconstructed as compared to the new ones.
